This is Pee Wee Herman’s bike. Pee Wee is my favorite ever! This tattoo started off as a bet of sorts, but it ended with me having a beautiful piece that I absolutely adore. This was done a couple of years ago by Rich Fisher at Division Tattoo Studio in Madison Heights, Michigan. I forgot he took pictures of it. He is an AMAZING artist, and I can’t wait to get tattooed by him again.

My best friend and I got these done on December 28th, 2011. The top is mine, the bottom is hers. This was taken just a couple hours after we walked out of the shop.
Normally, I’m not a huge fan of “matching” tattoos. But we have been through hell and back, more than anyone will ever realize, and when everything always falls apart, or we hit rock bottom, the other was always there to reach out a hand, even when nothing else was left. I have saved her life, and she’s saved mine. We live halfway across the country from each other now, me in Colorado and her in Pennsylvania, and we’re closer than ever. Both of us went back to our hometown for the holidays. She paid for these as my Christmas present and I couldn’t have been happier. I remember the phonecall I got from her saying, “So… Merry Christmas. We’re getting matching tattoos.” :) We debated nonstop for those few days about what to get, and finally, I had decided on those lyrics from the song “Dig” by Incubus, because it’s something we used to play for each other when we needed a pick me up. The font is in the same style as Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, also symbolic, since that was the topic of our very first conversation ever. This is my second tattoo, and her third.
Maybe it’s because I have a high pain tolerance, but the spot we picked surprisingly didn’t hurt nearly as much as I thought it would!
It was just an amazing experience and every time I look at my arm now, I smile.
These were done at Old Tyme Tattoo in Titusville, Florida, by Camron Austin. Good guy and an even better artist. :) -

My one and only tattoo. I got it with my best friend at the time: same font, different lines. It is ironic how this helps me get over this lost friendship. The past is a hard thing to dwell over… but somehow, this a motivation to keep my life on a day by day basis.
Smile though your heart is aching.

A few hours after it was made.
4’33”, John Cage’s most controversial composition. Whether I like it or not, John Cage’s compositions are a part of what I do, and what I listen to. And as he said “There’s no such thing as silence.”
Made by Alina at Rough Stuff Tattoo in Uppsala, Sweden.
